Call for Work Living Green – due 7/16/11

“Viviendo Verde” (Living Green)
July 23 – August 27, 2011

Raices Taller 222 Art Gallery & Workshop is looking for guest artists who are not only living La Vida Loca – they are also living La Vida Verde!  Our “Viviendo Verde” exhibition will be composed of 2 dimensional and 3 dimensional art that includes recycled, salvaged or found materials.  Viva Mother Earth!

Artwork Guidelines

1. Artwork must have been completed within the last year.
2. Artwork must include a minimum of 75% recycled, salvaged or found materials.
3. All 2 dimensional artwork must complete and ready for installation with appropriate hanging hardware, wires, and / or frames.
4. All 3 dimensional artwork must be complete and ready for installation.  Sculpture consideration includes size, suitability for the display environment, and safety.

Submission Guidelines

1. Maximum of 2 submissions to be reviewed per artist.
2. To submit electronically, email images of your work to be reviewed to by July 16, 2011.  Images must be in jpeg format, recommended size 55KB.  Include your name and contact information in your email.  For each submission, please provide us name of piece, dimensions, medium and price.
3. To submit in person, bring in your work to be reviewed to the gallery on July 17, 2011 from 1-5 pm.
4. Please provide us with a recent artist’s resume or bio.

NOTE:  If your submission is accepted, a suggested donation of $25 helps us to recover the costs of exhibiting, representing and marketing of your artwork.  However, as a 501(C) (3) educational nonprofit, any amount you are able to donate is appreciated and benefits our organization, our mission and our work in the community.
