Arizona Artists Call for Work – HEAT at Practical Art – due 4/30/12

Practical Art’s inaugural HEAT exhibition will feature the work of Arizona artists during July – the month when they are truly the steadfast pillars of desert culture. Bringing together artists in varying disciplines and a diverse range of jurors, this exhibition is intended to promote connectivity in a sometimes stifling climate; in a month when we’re tempted to consider heat as a dull, weighty, static thing – the elephant in every sweaty room – we must remember that foremost, and by definition, it is the transfer of energy between bodies.

Submissions should relate to the theme “HEAT” in any interpretation. Our jurors will consider wall-mountable art in any medium, not exceeding 32″ horizontally.

The work will be selected by a panel of guest jurors chosen from the local arts community. All work will be listed for sale at a price set by the artist, and all sales will be governed by a standard Practical Art consignment contract (available for review upon request).
